Morningside Day Out is a half-day, play-based preschool that welcomes children and families of all ethnic, racial, religious and cultural backgrounds.

MDO encourages and supports children as they grow to become enthusiastic, life-long learners. We are a small, nurturing community that values learning thru purposeful play.
MDO inspires a spirit of discovery in a creative learning environment where children can grow physically, socially, emotionally and cognitively as they explore the world around them.
Our Philosophy
MDO is a place where children learn and grow. At MDO, each child finds a comfortable place within both small and large groups. Our program provides the opportunity to interact with peers, as well as to participate in activities that promote cognitive, social and physical development in a relaxed, nurturing, and supportive atmosphere. At MDO, PLAY is the vehicle through which children learn.
MDO serves the needs of children and families within its community as well as supports the neighborhood community through volunteer outreach programs.
Our Goals
- To provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and play.
- To employ experienced teachers who stimulate the children's interest in learning and cultivate the children's success.
- To build a partnership with parents.
- To provide a dedicated decision-making body within the framework of the Board of Directors for continued support, assessment and improvement of the program.
- To foster a positive relationship with Peachtree Baptist Church.
- To continue to serve the needs of the community through existing programs and to explore ways to better meet community needs.
